Welcome to our page.

We play 7 a side every Saturday morning in the North Manchester Girls League where we play at a central venue each week (Chapel Road Oldham). We currently have 11 players signed on.

Training sessions run Monday at the 3g in Hadfield from 7pm until 8pm where around 15 girls attend each week. This is the girls first season as a team and for some their first experience of playing in a team, however we have more girls wanting to sign onto the team each week.

Glossop North End Girls U11s vs Uppermill Girls U11s
League Knock Out Cup

Glossop went into the game as underdogs after suffering a heavy defeat to Uppermill earlier on in the season. Five minutes into the game Glossop were in control and looking the stronger side, with a break from defence Glossop were one nil up from Tessa Palmer within ten minutes. A slip of concentration in the Uppermill side let Glossop break through again to net their second goal inside five minutes of their first . There were plenty of chances from both sides before the break, with Uppermill taking advantage over a miscommunication in the Glossop defence and hitting a shot off the crossbar and past the keeper to make it 2-1 at halftime.

Ten minutes into the second half and a long clearance from the Uppermill defence over the top of Glossop's defence left an Uppermill striker clear on goal, Glossop keeper Keely Moores came out to block the shot but Uppermill slotted past to equalise. With five minutes to go the game was sure to go to extra time, but not until Glossop had their last chance on goal, winning a corner with barely minutes from time there was a scramble at goal which saw the shot soar above the crossbar.

Extra time saw both sides with few chances bringing no change to the 2 - 2 score line.

Into penalties and penalty takers Molly Etchells, Eloise Stockly, keeper Keely Moores and Jade Russell all slotting home, also keeper Keely Moores denying Uppermill a goal leaving it all level after penalties. Onto sudden death penalties, captain Molly Etchells was up first sending the Uppermill keeper the wrong way and placing into the bottom right hand corner. Next up was Keely Moores in net against the Uppermill player she had earlier denied, the player this time going for the right corner was well read by Keely who got a hand to the ball sending Glossop through to the next round of the league cup.

Glossop North End Girls U11s - Keely Moores, Eloise Stockley, Jade Ward, Molly Etchells (c), Amy Hardy, Tessa Palmer (2), Jade Russell.
